About my photographs
I am a member of Peter Hurley's Headshot Crew because I admire his style, but more than that, I admire the way he gets the most out of people.
If you think you are not photogenic, come see me and we can work together to get an image that looks like you feel on your very best days.
As for my love of shooting zoo animals, my photographs can be found on the Oakland Zoo web site, and are being used for the 2015 fundraising campaign envelope.
This is one of my very best headshots: And my most popular zoo shot:
If you want a picture of yourself, or your child, send me an e-mail and let's set up a time. Corporate headshots at your location can be arranged.
If you want to learn how to shoot photographs at the zoo, I give tours at the Oakland Zoo in California with photographic coaching. If you like my shots, I can help you learn to take them yourself.
I chose the Panasonic DMC-GH3 for my DSLR (actually a mirrorless) in December of 2013 mostly because of what it could do with video. I figured that pretty much all of the cameras had approximately the same features when it came to taking photographs, at least as far as a raw beginner would notice. The GH3 served me well, but I eventually outgrew its capabilities and needed a full frame DSLR.
I upgraded to the Nikon D750, purchased the Holy Trinity of lenses plus the 105mm Micro, and I am having a great time getting some of the shots I could not get before.
